Meet Patty Mills
Australian triple Olympian (Beijing, London, Rio), San Antonio Spurs NBA Championship player and now author Patty Mills will appear in Brisbane’s Queen St Mall on Thursday 3 August as part of his National Tour to launch his fun ‘Game Day’ book series for kids. Mills will appear on the Queen St Mall Main Stage from 12.00pm to 1.30pm to speak about the books, meet fans and sign copies.
Published by Allen & Unwin, the books, entitled Patty Hits the Court and Patty and the Shadows, were written in collaboration with Australian writer Jared Thomas. They help to inspire 6 to 9 year olds to achieve their goals through sport and are based on a young sports-mad Patty’s skills, practice and basketball dreams while growing up in Australia.
Patty Mills was born in Canberra and plays with the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA. He is the only Indigenous Australian to win an NBA Championship and he currently represents the Australian Boomers.
