Where to go to get your coffee fix at The Myer Centre

09 Mar 2018

When your third cup of green tea or the stale office instant coffee aren't quite doing it for you, stretch your legs and hit up The Myer Centre. Whether your go-to is a straight up flat white, a chilled Frappuccino or an indulgent caramel latte, we'll have you energised and back to work in no time.

It really needs no introduction, but if you're ready for a flavour sensation and love something a little bit different to your standard latte, then Starbucks delivers. From seasonal beverages like the infamous Pumpkin Spiced Latte to the new Caramel Popcorn Pretzel and Mocha Cookie Crumble blended Frappuccinos, the ever-changing menu will keep you buzzing all day long. And if you're a traditionalist, you can still take pleasure in their Single Origin Colombia Espresso. Located on level A.

If you're serious about your coffee, you'll enjoy a fresh brew from Doppio Coffee Station brewed with Elixir Coffee. Roasted locally in the north Brisbane suburb of Stafford, Elixir Coffee is Australia's most awarded coffee roaster having received 46 awards since 2010. To savour the flavour of these award-winning beans, order a long black, espresso or simple flat white. Add a toastie and enjoy on the small deck under the fairy lights. Located on level E.

If it's more than a coffee break you need, you can't go past Beach House Bar & Grill for a change of scenery too. Overlooking the city bustle on Albert Street, you can sip your cuppa while feeling a world away. Plus, they're open from 10am to midnight which means if it's a late-night caffeine fix you're craving, they've got that covered too. Located on level E.

For an afternoon pick-me-up, schedule a meeting with the expertly trained baristas at Soul Origin. There are two types of beans available: the House Blend, available year round, is a robust blend of Colombian and Brazilian beans, and the Single Origin Ainora, which is small batch roasted in Victoria.

We also love that Soul Origin takes pride in responsible sourcing and reducing and reusing to minimise its impact on the environment. The proof is in the pudding - bring a reusable cup and receive 10% off your coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Located on level E.

Seeking a few moments of peace to enjoy a coffee and sneaky piece of cake? Hide away in a Shingle Inn booth. Shingle Inn's exclusive coffee beans are roasted to ensure the best flavour is extracted from each bean, making it a premium blend of rich lively flavours, a smooth and creamy medium body, and a lasting finish. Or change up your order and try a Dirty Chai - a Chai Latte with a shot of espresso - or a Matcha Green Tea Latte. Located on level 1.

Coffee Guru is a full-service cafe which offers a comprehensive all-day menu and Merlo coffee. The Coffee Guru's Premium Blend uses Ethiopian Arabica beans which gives the coffee a great, earthy body. The inclusion of a fine Robusta coffee from India enriches the blend, while other Arabica coffees from Central and South America, and Uganda, add to the complexity. All of Coffee Guru's coffee is fairly traded and is often certified organic too. Bonus: Coffee Guru also offers soy, almond and Zymil milk for a small surcharge. Located on level E.

You'd be forgiven for thinking the popular grab'n'go fresh juice bar only offers an array of colourful, fresh juices. But, in August last year, FJs Fresh Juice partnered with Di Bella so you can also grab a freshly brewed Di Bella coffee to go. Add an Acai Bowl, yoghurt and granola or fruit salad and you've got yourself a healthy breakfast on the run. Located on level E.
